Do you wish to stay in shape, learn, and earn an international status as a black belt at the same time? Will the the confidence knowing how to defend yourself make you feel at ease?
WE CAN HELP!
Okinawa, Japan is the mother land of Karate. From this tiny island, Karate flourished into a world-wide endeavor to be practiced as an art, sport, self-defense, and exercise. At NOX we practice Meibukan Gojyu-Ryu, one of Okinawa's longest running and most influential schools of Okinawan Karate. Formally named and established since 1952, Karate at the Hombu is still practiced today primarily as a form of Budo. The way of positive personal growth and development through the martial arts. The style, Gojyu-Ryu, is the first recognized style of Karate by the government in Japan and it continues to be taught with the spirit of the old ways within Meibukan.
Kancho Sean Wong is a member of the
Meibukan Hombu Dojo and personal student of its president, Yagi Meitetsu Sensei (Hanshi 10th Dan). At NOX, Wong prepares all students to be internationally ranked within one of the world's most influential schools of Okinawan Karate. It is offered in Markham as a Junior Meibukan Program and in a Traditional Meibukan format.
Junior Meibukan Memberships start at 9 years old. Traditional Memberships start from 11 years old to adult. Younger recreational programs are also available.
ALL Trial Memberships Include Informs.
